• Christmas Carol Service

  Our Christmas Service in St Thomas’s Church celebrated 50 years of the Christingle. Each class presented a song or poem and the choir sang. Rev’d Sarah and the Collective Worship Team helped us to learn about Christingles and children from all classes led the prayers. The service included a performance of Jingle Bells by our Year 5 and 6 Brass players which will be available to listen to on the Class 4 page of the website.

• Christmas Lunch

  Mrs Turner and Mrs Tennant worked incredibly hard to make our delicious Christmas lunch which was enjoyed by both children and staff. Thank you!

• Crib Service

  On Sunday 16^th December the choir sang carols as part of the Crib Service. It was a lovely opportunity for the choir to be involved in a special church event. Thank you to Mrs Holloway for inviting us, and to all the families who supported the event.

• Jack and the Beanstalk

  All of the children in school enjoyed the pantomime performance of ‘Jack and the Beanstalk’ from the West End Theatre Group. Thank you for the contributions towards the cost of this special show.

• Hey Ewe!

  The children in Nursery, Reception, Year 1 and Year 2 have performed their fantastic nativity play “Hey Ewe!” It was a lovely play which followed the story of the Curious Sheep who visited Baby Jesus in the manger. The children in all year groups performed brilliantly, but special congratulations must go the Year 1 and 2 children who told the story, sang solos, and were excellent actors and readers.

• Christmas Fair

  On Sunday 9th December the FOGHS held our Christmas Fair. The school looked lovely and there were lots of activities for families to choose from including games, crafts, vising Santa in his Grotto, tombola, raffles and delicious refreshments. The choir sang to entertain everyone and we were delighted with how busy the fair was.

• Christian Aid Carol Service

  Christian Aid Carol Service

  On Friday 9th December the school choir sang at the Christian Aid Carol Service in Selby Abbey. This was a lovely event that we were privileged to have been invited to. The children sang three carols and took part in a candle lit version of Silent Night. Well done to all the choir members who worked so hard to prepare for this performance.

• Secret Santa

  The Friends of Green Hammerton organised a Secret Santa event for the children on Friday 7^th December where they chose gifts for members of their family. The atmosphere in the hall was lovely as the children decided which gifts to choose, and then wrote labels for them.

• Christmas Crafts

  Thank you to everyone who attended the Christmas Craft Afternoon. It was a lovely event where family members visited their child’s classroom to make Christmas Crafts.
