Good attendance at school is vital - it goes without saying that children cannot learn what is being taught in their lessons if they are not in school. As a school, we aim for attendance of 97% or better for each of our pupils. The chart below shows how varying attendance rates can impact on a child's education throughout their time in school.
Lateness and absence procedures
Absence Procedures
If your child is unwell and cannot attend school, please ring the School Office in the morning and leave a message using option 1 on the school telephone system. Please then update us if your child is not well enough to return the following day. Please remember that if your child has had sickness or diarrhoea they need to stay at home until 48 hours after their last symptoms.
Punctuality
Making a good start to the school day is an essential part of children doing as well as possible in school. A huge part of that is being on time for the start of the school day.
