Here is a selection of activities that children can complete at home should their Classes be affected by strike action.
Phonics
Practise learning different sound, decoding words and reading tricky words.

Phases 4 and 5 are most suitable for Year 1 children.

Reading
Children each have a Reading book that matches with the Little Wandle phonics scheme.
Spend time reading this book and using the comprehension question in the back of the book
Oak Academy
Oak Academy - Access a range of online lessons, covering a wealth of topics in each primary curriculum area.
Maths
BBC Bite Size has a wide range of materials to support learning.
Hit the Button is an excellent resource to to help children learn and practise number bonds.

Class 1 are currently learning about growing plants from seeds and are learning to write simple instructions.
Class 2 have completed work on Queen Victoria and the Industrial Revolution.
