  • Nigel Adams MP Visit

    Fri 06 Sep 2019 J. Langley

On Friday 6th September we welcomed Nigel Adams MP to our school. As part of our Brilliantly British theme the children are learning about parliament and elections. Nigel spoke to the children in assembly and then visited each class. He spoke to the children about his role and then answered questions from the children which included “Have you seen Big Ben?”, Do you have to stand up for a long time?” and “What do you think about Brexit?”. Thank you to Martin Simpson, our Vice Chair of Governors for organising the visit and to Rebecca Jackson, our Chair of Governors for joining us for assembly.

  • Brilliantly British Day

    Fri 06 Sep 2019 J. Langley
We launched our Brilliantly British theme on Wednesday 4th September. Everyone dressed up as their favourite British icon or in red, white and blue. In the afternoon we worked in house teams on four activities; flag making, constructing famous buildings, learning the National Anthem and playing cricket with Mrs Taylor. We then met in the hall for afternoon tea and to sing the National Anthem. Thank you for all of the donations of scones!
